The annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King celebration is Auburn has been postponed until May or June.
The Citizen reports organizers cite the COVID-19 pandemic as the reason for the postponement. The celebration was first organized in 1975 by local church leaders. The event also serves as a fundraiser for a local scholarship in King’s name.
