Galen crash caused by speed, driver sent to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports an investigation into a one-car crash that happened on Route 31 in the town of Galen.

On Tuesday around 10 a.m. Christan Frisinger, 61, of Clyde was traveling west on Route 31 when his vehicle left the roadway and collided with a sign prior to coming to rest.

Investigation shows that Frisinger was speeding at the time of the crash.

He was transported to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies say they were assisted by Eastern Wayne Ambulance, Wayne County ALS, Clyde Fire Department, and Savannah Fire Department.
