Police: Auburn Walmart robbed over the weekend, employees threatened with knife before suspect fled

An Auburn man faces an array of felony charges after a weekend robbery at the local Walmart store.

Police responded to a robbery at the Grant Avenue Walmart located in Auburn around 10 p.m. on Saturday.

A suspect, later identified as Karl Diggs, 49, of Auburn is accused of exiting the store, threatening employees with a knife, and fleeing after the robbery.


They found Diggs and took him into custody without further incident.

He was charged with first-degree robbery, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and second-degree menacing.

Diggs was remanded to the Cayuga County Jail without bail.
