The man accused of stabbing a woman inside a Geneseo Walmart multiple times last summer has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Gregory Cunningham, of Beaver Dams, pleaded guilty to felony assault in Livingston County this past March.
Cunningham stabbed a woman he did not know with a 4-5 inch bladed knife in the refrigeration section.
The victim suffered multiple chipped and broken bone injuries as well as nerve damage, but survived.
Cunningham was shopping with his uncle when he told him he had just stabbed a woman because his “schizophrenia got to him.”
