Child of couple that drowned in Tompkins County has GoFundMe started for his future education

In July, Gunner Henley Mayor lost his parents when they drowned under a Newfield waterfall in Tompkins County.

Carissa Stone and Michael Mayer had taken their son and his two cousins hiking when the tragedy happened. The kids sought help but it was too late.

Gunner’s aunt, Magen Brull, started a GoFundMe with the goal of helping his education after high school.

The goal was $4,000 but they have already received double that.
