Glenn Johnson joining WHEC after exit from 13WHAM

After being ousted at 13WHAM-TV in Rochester, Meteorologist Glenn Johnson is making his return to television.

After serving as Chief Meteorologist at the station for many years- station ownership eliminated his position.

Now, Johnson will join News10NBC (WHEC-TV) to handle mid-day and weekend evening forecasting duties.

“We are thrilled that Glenn now calls News10NBC home. He brings incredible experience in tracking Rochester’s tricky storms. Through the years, his professionalism and dedication has earned the trust of this community,” WHEC-TV Vice-President and General Manager Dick Reingold said. “Adding Glenn to the News10NBC family makes what is already the strongest weather team in town, even stronger. In forecasting Rochester weather, experience means everything. With the addition of Glenn, our team will have more than 70 years of local experience. We are very excited that Glenn will continue to serve the community he has called home for almost 4 decades.”

His first on-air appearance will be the 6 p.m. show on July 10. Johnson has been on-air, forecasting Rochester weather for more than three decades.
