SLEEP bill, created to fine owners of cars modified to be louder, passed by House and Senate

The House and Senate in New York State have both passed the SLEEP bill, which would allow owners of vehicles modified to be louder to face large fines.

The bill is on Governor Cuomo’s desk for his signature.

Auto shops may also face fines for certain modifications made to vehicles.

It is unclear if Governor Cuomo plans to sign the bill.
