Deputies say they arrested a Lyons man following an investigation into a hit-and-run crash that happened in the town of Galen on Saturday.
Tylor Felix, 25, of Lyons was charged with criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a child, and harassment.
It’s alleged that on Saturday around 3:25 p.m. Felix was traveling west on Rt. 31 in Galen and attempted to drive his vehicle head-on into another vehicle, which was traveling east.
The victim swerved to avoid being struck- when Felix turned around- and caught up with the victim- striking that vehicle from the rear.
During the incident the victim’s 6-year-old child was inside. There were no injuries reported. However, Felix fled the scene and was taken into custody around 1:11 a.m. on Sunday.
That’s when he was also charged with stalking and second-degree contempt for contacting a woman who was a protected party in a court order.
Deputies say he attempted to contact her electronically after being asked to stop.
He was held and will answer the charges at a later date.
