Police report the arrest of a 37-year-old Geneva man following a burglary near Maxwell Ave. and Pleasant St. in December.
Officers were called to that location for a burglary in progress complaint, and upon arrival- stated that two males entered his home through an unlocked door with a handgun.
The victim said that the males attempted to tie him up at which time a struggle ensued.
The victim stated that the suspects then fled the house. He suffered several injuries- including head trauma, a fractured foot, and several bruises.
Police say the second male remains at large. However, Matthew Jackson, 37, a parolee from the Geneva-area, was taken into custody after an intense investigation.
He was charged with felony first-degree burglary and held for arraignment.
The investigation remains active.
