Supervisor: Town of Geneva weathered pandemic, economic downturn pretty well

What if there was some good news with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic?

Maybe this can’t quite be considered good news, but it is better news for taxpayers in the town of Geneva.

Town Supervisor Mark Venuti says town revenues weathered the pandemic better than some of the forecasts anticipated.

He recently spoke with Finger Lakes News Radio about it all. “The second quarter was pretty bad, when we were planning on the third quart to be just as bad,” he explained, speaking to 2020.

Turns out though, the third quarter wasn’t as bad as it could have been. And the second quarter wound up being the worst.

Now, they look forward to a hopefully more successful 2021 to help rebound.
