Deputies: Sodus driver had BAC four-times the legal limit after Rt. 88 incident

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Sodus man following an investigation into a vehicle that had gone off the road on Route 88 in Arcadia.

It happened on January 29 around 7 p.m., according to deputies, who say that Scott Herman, 48, of Sodus was observed off the road in his vehicle.


Following investigation it was determined that Herman consumed alcohol prior to driving. He failed a roadside sobriety test and was placed under arrest.

He was processed at the Sheriff’s Office where he blew a BAC four-times the legal limit. Herman was charged with DWI, driving with a BAC over 0.08%, driving on shoulder, and speed not reasonable.

Deputies said his BAC was 0.32% at the time of the incident. The charges will be answered at a later date in local court.
