Wayne resident damaged roadside signs, camper; now faces felony charge

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Wayne resident following an investigation into damaged roadside signs.

Benjamin Webb, 27, was arrested after allegedly intentionally damaging signs in the town of Wayne, causing damage in excess of $1,500.

Among the damaged property were road signs, a camping trailer, and a digital sign.

He was charged with felony criminal mischief.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
