Geneva’s North Street school announced that it was going remote through the Thanksgiving holiday break.
For all students in grades 2 through 5 learning will happen remotely. The staffing strain that was placed on the school after a positive COVID test resulted in the digital move.
The District had said that there were a total of seven positives among staff and students in the last month.
On Thursday another announcement came – signaling more positives. A staff member at the Geneva High School tested positive for COVID-19.
“The Department of Health has begun contact tracing and will notify any contacts with potential exposure. If you have not been contacted, no further action is required on your part. We are working with the Department of Health to determine which students need to be quarantined. Impacted families will be notified as soon as that determination has been made,” the district said.
The total number of positive tests as of Thursday was eight.
