Canandaigua wants this to be the year that the city wins the $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative contest.
On Tuesday, a committee of City Council approved the continued working with MRB Group, which the city hired to help with the grant.
It wasn’t successful in the first year of partnership, but city officials believe this could be the year.
The partnership will cost the city $6,500, which is $1,000 less than it cost last year.
“I still think we can win on our own merits,” City Manager John Goodwin told MPNNow.com.
