Springwater man accused of stealing ring, pawning it in Canandaigua

Deputies arrested a 23-year-old Springwater resident following an investigation that began with an alleged theft in October 2019.

Tyler David Palumbo, 23, of Springwater was charged with criminal possession of stolen property after an investigation into events that took place on October 19th, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Henderson says Palumbo was in possession of a ring, which had been stolen from a vehicle in Canadice. He’s accused of then selling the ring to a pawn shop in the city of Canandaigua.

Deputies say Palumbo was taken into custody without incident and issued an appearance ticket.
