Deputies: Waterloo woman transported to Geneva General after Fayette crash

Deputies say that a Waterloo woman only suffered minor injuries after a crash on County Road 121 in the Town of Fayette on Tuesday.

The accident was reported shortly after 11 a.m. when 81-year-old Beverly Jennings, of Waterloo was traveling north and turned into the opposite lane for an unknown reason, according to deputies.

She then attempted to steer back into the northbound lane, overcorrecting, and traveling off the east shoulder of the road.

Her vehicle then continued north on the grassy shoulder – coming to rest. Deputies say that Jennings suffered minor scrapes and was transported to Geneva General Hospital as a precaution.

The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene. Waterloo and Border City fire departments also responded to the scene.
