Sheriff Kevin Henderson reports the arrest of a 52-year-old Geneva resident following the investigation of a complaint by the Geneva Housing Authority.

James Kemp, 52, is accused of re-certifying on June 5th for his housing assistance, and in the process – failed to report household income accurately.

As result, he received $2,174 of which Kemp was not entitled to receive.

The assistance was received during July and August, according to investigators.

Kemp was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and first-degree offering false instrument for filing.
