The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of an Auburn man following a late-night traffic stop.
Richard A. Currier Jr., 44, was taken into custody on May 24 at approximately 1:30 a.m. in Tyre for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), a misdemeanor. Currier was also charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the first degree, a felony, and operating a motor vehicle without an ignition interlock device, a misdemeanor, along with multiple traffic violations.
The arrest followed a traffic stop for speeding. During the investigation, deputies determined that Currier was intoxicated and driving with a revoked license without the required ignition interlock device.
Currier is set to appear in Seneca County Cap Court on May 24, 2024, at 8:00 AM to face the charges.
