Come this August, the Finger Lakes Community College athletic department will have a new but familiar face running things.
After spending the past four years as the Assistant Athletic Director, Samantha Boccacino will become the Lakers new Athletic Director effective Aug. 2.
“I am truly grateful to the administration at FLCC for this opportunity and I am honored to take over as athletic director,” Boccacino said. “I am very fortunate to continue the great traditions that have been established in the athletics department by Bob Lowden. Having been the assistant athletic director and working alongside Bob, a strong culture has been established in our athletic department that puts the student-athlete experience first.
“I look forward to working with our coaching and support staff to continue to ensure student-athlete success on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.”
