Deputies report the arrest of a Newark man for driving while intoxicated following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Galen.
On Saturday around 4:22 p.m. Anthony W. Carr, 29, of Newark was arrested following investigation into a property damage accident on Gannett Road.
Deputies say Carr failed field sobriety tests and was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
He submitted to a breath test, which resulted in a BAC of 0.15 percent.
Carr was issued tickets for driving while intoxicated, driving with a BAC over 0.08 percent, and released to appear at a later date in Galen Town Court.
