Deputies say a Fayette woman was arrested on DWI charges following a one-car crash on State Route 89.
The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on April 8th at approximately 7 p.m. deputies arrested Courtney M. Chavez, 24, of Fayette.
Chavez was charged with DWI, driving with a BAC over 0.08%, failure to keep right, and refusal to submit to a breath test.
The arrest stems from an investigation into a one-car property damage accident where Chavez was found to be traveling south on State Route 89 in Canoga and left the roadway – striking a mailbox.
She suffered no injuries in the wreck; and the vehicle sustained minor damage.
Chavez was released on appearance tickets and will answer the charges at a later date.
