Auburn police seek public’s help investigating medical office break-in

The Auburn Police Department is still investigating an Auburn medical office break-in from last weekend.

“We don’t have a whole lot of information regarding it,” said Detective Bureau Captain James Moore Tuesday.

The APD was called Monday morning about a break-in at Auburn Medical Building, 77 Nelson St., Moore said. It is believed the break-in occurred sometime over the weekend.

Although initial reports indicated one office was burglarized, police said that several medical offices were entered, and undisclosed amounts of money were stolen, police said.

Police are still trying to narrow down the time frame for when the crime could have taken place, he added, because it could have been any time from Friday evening to Monday morning. A couple people were in and out of the office Saturday, however, and didn’t see anything unusual. But Moore said it’s possible the burglary happened prior and they didn’t notice.
