Crash on Rt. 96A leads to DWI charge for Romulus man

Police say a Romulus man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a crash along State Route 96A in Fayette.

According to State Police, Eric S. Ransear, 35, of Romulus was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a BAC over 0.08 percent, and following too closely after the incident.



Troopers responded to a crash on State Route 96A in Fayette, and upon investigation charged Ransear.

He was taken into custody and provided a breath sample of 0.14 percent. He was issued traffic tickets and will answer the charges at a later date.
