Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck has issued a travel advisory, which runs until 9 a.m. on Thursday.
Conditions throughout the region have deteriorated significantly.
Those heading out tonight should use extreme caution. In addition to dangerous cold – blowing and drifting snow is making travel difficult on country roads.
