Syracuse football (2-3, 0-3) returns to the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday to host Louisville (3-3, 2-2) in an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m., with the game airing on the ACC Network.
The Orange return home after a 35-day stretch between home games that included three road contests and a bye week. The break from the Dome was among the longest for a Power Four team this season, with only Stanford spending more time away from home.
Syracuse looks to build on its recent offensive production, led by wide receiver Umari Hatcher. Through five games, Hatcher has recorded career highs with 560 receiving yards and six touchdowns. He has surpassed 100 receiving yards in each of the past two games, including 126 yards and a touchdown against Virginia last week.
Louisville presents a significant challenge on the ground, averaging 231.7 rushing yards per game. Running back Isaac Brown averages 126.3 all-purpose yards per game, while Keyjuan Brown has rushed for 367 yards on 38 carries. Syracuse will need to slow the Cardinals’ rushing attack to have success defensively.
Saturday marks the 22nd meeting between the programs, with Louisville holding a 13-8 advantage in the all-time series. Syracuse won the most recent matchup, 31-7, in 2022 and holds a 6-5 series edge in games played at the Dome.
