A detached garage was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived at an early-morning structure fire Wednesday on Sunset Drive in Canadice.
Emergency crews were dispatched around 5:12 a.m., and firefighters battled the blaze for more than an hour, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
The houses on both sides of the garage sustained minor to moderate damage.
Fire departments from Honeoye-Richmond, Cheshire, Bristol, Naples, Hemlock, Livonia and East Bloomfield responded along with Honeoye Ambulance, National Grid, Canadice Code Enforcement and the town Water Department.
Investigators from the Ontario County Fire Coordinator’s Office are handling the investigation.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
