The New York Republican backed House Resolution 1490 in Tuesday's vote and issued a statement afterward. His release said 192 House Democrats opposed the resolution.
Langworthy argued that socialism gives government too much control and has gained influence within the Democratic Party. He said Congress should respond by reaffirming individual liberty.
