Ithaca police are investigating a fire that damaged a vacant campsite Wednesday afternoon at the city's sanctioned camping zone near Southwest Park Road.
Police and firefighters responded around 4:20 p.m. Aug. 26 and found that a campsite had caught fire.
The campsite was unoccupied, and no injuries were reported, police said.
Investigators had not determined the cause of the fire as of Wednesday night.
