A Rushville man was charged with petit larceny after Ontario County sheriff's deputies said he stole more than $427 in merchandise from the Walmart in Hopewell.
Deputies responded around 12:13 p.m. Tuesday to the store at 4238 Recreation Drive and arrested John Gustav Schilbe Jr., 68, of Jones Road.
The Sheriff's Office said the merchandise was valued at $427.15.
Schilbe was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge at a later date in Hopewell Town Court.
