A Waterloo man was charged with criminal contempt and aggravated unlicensed operation after deputies said they found him driving with a person protected by a stay-away order.
The Seneca County Sheriff's Office arrested Jason Osgood, 54, during a traffic stop at about 9:42 p.m. July 12 in Waterloo.
Deputies said Osgood's driving privileges had been revoked following a prior driving while intoxicated conviction. Investigators also determined that a full stay-away order of protection barred him from being with a passenger in the vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.
Osgood was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a Class A misdemeanor, and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor.
He was taken to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center in Romulus to await centralized arraignment.
The charges are allegations, and Osgood is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
