A Rose man was charged with criminal impersonation after deputies said he called a person more than 30 times while pretending to be a police officer.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office arrested Lee E. Wollek, 38, following an investigation into a reported domestic incident on Brick School House Road in Rose.
Deputies said Wollek used a cellphone to make the calls. The sheriff's office did not provide additional details about what was said or when the calls occurred.
Wollek was located in Rose and taken to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office for processing. He was charged with second-degree criminal impersonation and held for centralized arraignment.
He is expected to answer the charge in Rose Town Court at a later date.
The charge is an allegation, and Wollek is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
