A coordinated enforcement effort across Ontario County resulted in multiple arrests after authorities said several businesses sold alcohol to minors during a targeted operation.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, working alongside the New York State Liquor Authority, conducted an alcohol beverage control detail on May 1, focusing on illegal sales to underage individuals.
According to the sheriff’s office, five people were charged with unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree, a violation of New York law prohibiting the sale of alcohol to minors. Those charged include Davontia M. Loucks, 21, of Geneva; Amanda N. Riek, 27, of Canandaigua; Willie D. Mckoy, 18, of Geneva; Emily A. Cretin, 30, of Clyde; and Madison R. Carter, 25, of Seneca Falls.
Investigators said the violations occurred at multiple locations, including Speedway in Manchester, Mobil Mart in Canandaigua, Byrne Dairy in Geneva, the Hideout Bar and Grill in Geneva, and the Side Show in Geneva.
All five individuals were issued appearance tickets and are expected to answer the charges in their respective local courts. Authorities said deputies visited roughly 40 establishments across the county as part of the operation.
The enforcement action was led by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the New York State Liquor Authority.
