A Canandaigua woman is facing felony charges after authorities say she stole credit cards from a customer’s vehicle and used them at multiple stores.
The alleged theft happened while the vehicle was in for service at a local dealership, according to investigators.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reported that Kelly Jean Bailey, 51, of Canandaigua, was arrested April 30 following an investigation by the agency’s Criminal Investigations Division.
Deputies allege Bailey took two credit cards from a victim’s vehicle while it was being serviced at Vision Kia and later used the cards at multiple retailers on April 17.
Bailey was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and issued an appearance ticket.
She is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
