Aldi is stripping 44 more ingredients from its store-brand products, according to The USA Today Network, expanding a yearslong push to simplify what shoppers eat.
The cuts target artificial preservatives, colors, flavors, and sweeteners. By 2027, Aldi says it will ban 57 ingredients across its private-label foods, vitamins, and supplements—even inside compound ingredients.
The move builds on earlier changes, including removing synthetic colors in 2015. Shoppers will see reformulated products roll out gradually, with updated labels as Aldi works to keep prices and quality steady.
