A 53-foot mobile dairy trailer just turned farming into a hands-on lesson for students, according to the Finger Lakes Times, bringing a full agricultural experience to Penn Yan schools.
About 200 students explored the New York Animal Agriculture Coalition Mobile Dairy Experience, learning how cows are fed, housed, and milked. Many even tried attaching milking machines and interacted with a live calf.
The visit aimed to connect students with New York’s dairy industry and show where food comes from, as the traveling exhibit continues stops at schools and events statewide.
