Prosecutors will bring the first defendant to trial this fall in a brutal killing that shocked the Finger Lakes, according to WHAM.
Precious Arzuaga is set to face trial in September for the death of Sam Nordquist, a 24-year-old transgender man. Authorities charged seven people, and each will stand trial separately in cases expected to last about a month.
Investigators say Nordquist traveled to New York in 2024 and endured months of torture before his body was found in 2025. His family plans to attend every trial as they push for justice.
