A man was arrested on an indictment warrant following an investigation in Auburn, according to police.
Scott Barrieau was taken into custody March 18 after an investigation that began Jan. 23 into allegations he failed to properly register his address.
Police said Barrieau is a level 3 sex offender and allegedly provided an address where he was not living.
Authorities charged him with one count related to failing to register his correct address.
Barrieau was processed and transported to the Cayuga County Jail, where he was held pending arraignment.
