Palmyra man charged with DWI after crash

A Palmyra man faces charges after a crash involving a utility pole in the Town of Williamson.

Jordan M. Hoyt, 33, of Fayette Street, was arrested following the incident on Walworth Ontario Road, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said Hoyt was traveling northbound when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

Hoyt was taken to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing, where he submitted to a chemical test showing a blood alcohol content of 0.17%.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or more, moving from lane unsafely, and failure to notify the DMV of an address change.

Hoyt was released on uniform traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ontario Court at a later date.
