Police said an officer approached Henry around 4:53 p.m. on March 6 and informed him of the warrant. Henry then ran from the officer, leading police on a foot chase through several backyards in the East William Street and Gansevoort Street area.

Officers located Henry in a backyard on East William Street and took him into custody without further incident. Police said the situation did not pose a danger to the public.

During processing, authorities determined Henry also had active warrants from the Corning Police Department and the New York State Police.

Police said Henry was also found to have a full stay-away order of protection involving the woman he had been seen walking with before the arrest.

Henry was charged with resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, and criminal contempt in the second degree, all Class A misdemeanors.

After processing on the Bath Police Department warrant, Henry was turned over to the New York State Police and transported to the Steuben County Jail for arraignment.

Members of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office assisted Bath police during the incident.
