Bath police charged a village woman with petit larceny after a reported theft of nearly $500 in cosmetics from Walgreens on West Washington Street.
Officers were called to the store at about 3:05 p.m. Sept. 30 for a larceny in progress, according to the Bath Police Department. They located the suspect walking on West Morris Street and took her into custody.
Police identified her as Veronda L. Butts, 29, of Bath. Investigators said she stole close to $500 worth of merchandise.
Butts was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court at a later date.
