The Mynderse boys continued their impressive postseason run, building an early double-digit lead and holding off Wellsville to reach Friday night’s Class B1 championship at the Blue Cross Arena against top-seeded Le Roy, which defeated Waterloo. In the other boys semifinal, East Rochester couldn’t protect a double-digit lead and fell to top-seeded Bishop Kearney/Chesterton in Class B2.

On the girls side, Bloomfield outlasted Lyons in a Class C1 semifinal showdown, sending the Bombers back to the sectional finals for a third straight season. Newark’s season also came to an end with a tough two-point loss to Honeoye Falls-Lima.
