A dominant day on the track delivered a double championship for Cato-Meridian, according to The Citizen.
Both the boys and girls teams captured Section III, Class D indoor track titles Saturday at the SRC Arena. The boys rolled past Remsen 163–83, while the girls edged West Canada Valley 113–99.5.
Landon Gillmore powered the boys with wins in the 600 and 300 meters, while Carsen Hoag swept the pole vault and high jump. On the girls side, Isabella Wilkins won the 55 dash, Maggie Brown took the hurdles, and Lucy Brown and Morgan Mansfield claimed field event titles.
The Cato-Meridian Central School District teams return Wednesday for state qualifiers.
