A Marion senior sprinted to a national championship and followed it with another podium finish, according to The Times of Wayne County.
Michael Ciripompa won the 1500-meter race at the USATF Youth National Indoor Championships, setting a personal record of 4:18. He returned the next day to place second in the 3000 meters, also with a personal best.
