A months-long drug investigation in the Town of Lyons ended with an arrest after deputies searched an apartment near an elementary school.
A Town of Lyons woman was arrested Feb. 4 following the investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the investigation began after the sheriff’s office received information from the public about narcotics being sold across the street from Lyons Elementary School.
On Oct. 1, investigators executed a search warrant at an apartment in the town. Detectives reported finding a large quantity of narcotics and several tasers inside the residence, where Lissanne Livingston lived with several young children.
Livingston was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, three counts of criminal possession of a weapon with a prior conviction, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Authorities said Livingston was taken to the Wayne County Jail and scheduled to appear for CAP arraignment at 7 p.m. on Feb. 4. Additional charges remain pending in connection with the investigation.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said it was assisted by the New York State Police Violent Gangs and Narcotics Enforcement Team.
