With just 16 days left in the high school basketball regular season, the race for league titles is heating up, and Monday night delivered a full slate of games.
On the girls side, Bloomfield and Waterloo met for a rematch just 10 days after their first meeting. Bloomfield controlled the tempo from the opening tip, leading throughout and building a double-digit advantage in the first half. Waterloo made a late push, trimming the margin to one point three times in the final two minutes, but the Bombers closed strong to pull away and earn a season split after a 24-point loss in the opener. On the boys side, Judah Tanner scored a game-high 33 points to lead East Rochester past Gananda, also securing a season split after a 23-point loss to the Blue Panthers in early December.
