Deputies arrested two people after an investigation into a shoplifting incident at Eastview Mall led to a felony charge.
Jasmine M. Donald, 27, of Rochester, and Nuhaja J. Alston, 28, also of Rochester, were taken into custody around 7:13 p.m. outside JCPenney’s, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office .
Investigators say the two allegedly stole about $7,600 worth of merchandise from the store.
Mall deputies located the suspects outside the mall in their vehicle and placed them into custody.
Both were charged with third-degree grand larceny.
Deputies transported Donald and Alston to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
