BILLS GAME DAY: Buffalo faces top-seeded Broncos in Divisional Round (preview)

The Buffalo Bills continue their postseason run with a Divisional Round matchup against the Denver Broncos today at 4:30 p.m. on CBS. The game will be played at Empower Field, with Buffalo entering as the No. 6 seed and Denver holding the No. 1 seed after earning a first-round bye.

This marks the second consecutive postseason meeting between the two teams. Buffalo defeated Denver, 31-7, in last season’s wild-card round, controlling the game on both sides of the ball. In that matchup, the Bills rushed for more than 200 yards, limited Denver’s offense, and forced the Broncos into an uneven passing performance. This time, the roles are reversed, with Buffalo traveling west to face a rested Denver squad that finished the regular season 14-3.

The Bills will also be facing a dominant defense. Denver leads the NFL in sacks, quarterback pressures, and overall disruption. Protecting Josh Allen will be a major priority against a Broncos front that features multiple double-digit sack threats and consistently generates pressure without heavy blitzing.

Offensively, Denver has found success by winning close games rather than overwhelming opponents. The Broncos averaged 23.6 points per game and relied on late-game execution, winning 11 one-score contests. Quarterback Bo Nix posted 30 total touchdowns and nearly 4,000 passing yards during the regular season and has been especially effective in fourth-quarter situations.

A win would send Buffalo to the AFC Championship next Sunday for the second straight season and third time in six years.
