Deputies arrested a Town of Clyde man after a larceny complaint over stolen firewood in the Town of Savannah.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office charged Patrick Sampson, 37, of Dublin Road in the Town of Clyde, with petit larceny.
Investigators said the charge stems from a report of firewood stolen and valued at $350.
Deputies located Sampson on Severence Road in the Town of Savannah. According to the sheriff’s office, Sampson admitted to taking the wood.
Deputies arrested him without incident and transported him to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
