Police arrested a man late Tuesday night after responding to a reported disturbance on Jefferson Avenue.
Carlos Acosta, 39, of Canandaigua, faces charges of harassment in the second degree and unlawful imprisonment in the second degree following the incident.
Officers responded to the address around 11:15 p.m. on Dec. 17. During the investigation, police determined Acosta struck another person in the head with a closed fist.
Investigators also found that Acosta refused to let the other person leave the residence.
Police arrested Acosta at the scene and transported him to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
The charges stem directly from the disturbance call and the actions uncovered during the investigation.
