A Geneva native is grieving after her fiancé, a well-known advocate for homeless veterans, was killed in a crash, according to WHAM.
Timothy Miller, 59, vice president of Operation Caring Hearts, died Saturday in Greece while helping a veteran find housing. His fiancée, Rebecca Mearns — originally from Geneva — said the loss feels unreal, just months before their planned March wedding.
Miller was praised for his selfless work supporting veterans. Greece police say the crash is still under investigation, but no charges are expected.
